Any help/input would be greatly appreciated with this. I am at wits end!!!! I've read almost all of the tutorials!!! I just purchased a Jasper 256, it has kernel 7371 with a CB of 6712. I installed the pin headers for the Nand, and read 3 times i had 16 errors in read, i will post pic in the end. I then used MAzeemK's alt point tutorial for the wiring of the JTag. I was using JTag Tool 3.13, I picked my Device Type(USB), Console Type (Jasper 256), but I left the option on the original setting and forgot to change it to Aud_Clamp setting, i went to write Xell, didn't realize it and disconnected, pulled the wires for a couple of minutes and went to start and bam, no video. Am I screwed here. Please tell me I am just missing something simple.

xell and jtag are two different things what happens when you push eject in your console? also start over again making sure you select the right options( did you use both alt options audio clamp and dvd) see what happens

rewrite your original nand back to it and see if it boots. If it does then rewrite xell to it to get you cpu key. Make sure you change your settings on jtag tool to whatever your current smc points are before creating your freeboot image. Also post picks of your wireing and soldering to help narrow the issues.
Also never just yank the cords while writing to the nand. Very bad idea.

I didn't just pull the wires out while writing, it was all done, which way should i re-write the Nand?

Post pics of your install. I dont know if you have it set up Aud Clamp or Aud clamp with dvd tray.
Did you try booting with the eject button? And you are useing standard def AV cables right. Xell doesnt work in High Def.

Glad you got sorted.

For future reference, you only need dump the first 1000 blocks on 256/512 Jaspers:

nandpro usb: -r256/512 nand.bin 0 1000

When you build a Freeboot image with this, it'll be system only, meaning it'll not overwrite your onboard MU.

Can I do this from the new version of jtag tool? I am going to do my buddies Jasper he just got off of EBay. If I set it up exactly how I wired mine, the alternate points, with the yellow wire in the bottom, and the red wire to the DVD power, would I pick the Aud_Clamp &DVD_Tray or just the Aud_Clamp. These Jaspers are a pain!!! Without team-x I would be so lost you guys rock!!!!

I've not needed to choose any custom wiring for a Jasper JTAG yet. I use standard DB1F1 and RoL (but alt. points).

If you need to, sub the DB1F1 for AUD_CLAMP if your soldering isn't up to it.

You can just enter the given command in JTAG Tool (under manual commands) to dump the first 1000 blocks.

Cool, thanks alot. I've never really used the NandPro to do any of my jtags. I just let the Jtag tool do all the work. Have you used the JTag Tool to Jtag it, or do you just strictly use the NandPro from the command promp?

For large block NANDs, I just use a manual command to dump and once checked out as fine, I flash XeLL/Freeboot/etc through the tool. There's really no need to dump the full 256/512 which is why I bypass it.
