Nand X not working

I just got a nand x and I soldered all the wires to the mobo and plugged it into the nandx but when I connect the nandx to the usb no lights come up I have tried different cables and no lights all the cables are fine. but when i plug in the nand x update cable to the nand x and then plug that cable into usb the lights come up is there soemthing wrong with my nand x ?

the nand-x should light up when you plug the usb in and nothing else attatched.
if its not doing that i would say that miniusb port on the nand x is bad or maybe the drivers are not installed correctly

drivers are fine because I plugged in the update cable into to nand x and the usb into my laptop(im using the laptop for powering the nandx nothing else) and it powered up then I plugged in the usb to my desktop computer and it detected the nand x and i programmed the cool runner with it but when I do the same thing to read my nand it says flash device not found or something. I think nand x is defective I just wanna get ur thoughts

If it comes up in device manager and can correctly program the coolrunner, but you cant read the nand most likely you need to check your soldering.

So the nand-x lights up when you plug it in with usb and your desktop recognized it?

what says flash device not found?

when I plug in the nandx thorough the usb to my computer no lights come up its not being detected.

but when the nand x is plugged into the the wall outlet and the computer thorough the nand x update cable it lights up. then i plug in the other usb while the nand x is already powered the computer detects it and was able to program cool runner. but when i try to read nand with or without the wires connected to my mobo it says "looking for usb interface device. can not continue"

how are you plugging the nandx into a wall outlet?

i dont see how an iphone charger fits any port on a nand-x and or why you would even do that?

if you look at this picture i am plugging in the usb part into the iphone wall charger and the lights come on and the ligths come on if i plug it into the computer usb port

ok now i see how you used an iphone charger but i dont think it was a swell idea

it seems as the mini usb port on the nand-x is not functioning

but when i plug in mini usb while the lights are already on the computers picks it up

i guess its faulty nand x

is it recognizing it because of the update cable? and your just thinking its the mini usb doing it
i am asking because i have never used that update cable

is your xbox plugged in because you will get that error if you don't have standby power to the board.

the update cable is not connected to computer its just supplying power though the wall outlet and the xbox power cord is plugged in. I really appreciate it you guys helping me.

im not sure if the ipod power is the same as the nand-x power so that might be your problem

well If i plug in nand x update cable and the mini usb to the computer it picks up both things in device mangeras "xecuter nand x USb" and "xecuter nand x UPDATE CABLE"

bottom line is the nandx does not power on when its connected to mini usb cable so i think its faulty

wierd but i think thats the problem do you by any chance have another usb a to b cable because it might just be that cable
