so you plug the nand-x into the usb on your pc/laptop and you have 1 red light on the nand-x?

you should have 2 lights on the nand-x. have you installed the nand-x drivers?

or do you mean the actual 360 power brick turns red?

im not that good at soldering but the reading and writing of the nand has been ok. if i short out certain pins on nand chip at the same time as plugging power in the nand reads and wrights but then the lrd turns red after doing it, if that helps. Here is my soldering not pretty lol.

Probably during soldering, you have bridged two points which are not supposed to be bridged due to which there is some kind of short-circuiting on the motherboard. Due to the short-circuit, whenever you try to turn on your Xbox360, the PSU's light turns red.

I suggest you look for any such unnecessary bridge, plus if there's some extra solder present on some points, you should clean it too.

And last but not least, post some High Resolution pictures of the soldering.

Clearly there is excessive solder on some of these points. I'm not surprised that your xbox has got short circuit somewhere ... Remove the excess soldering and try again ...

I hope your cleaning skills aren't as your soldering skills :p. If you clean the points nicely, plus if you haven't damaged any point or anything near the points with the soldering you have done, your Xbox360 should start working again.
