With the advent of the reset glitch decided to get things in preparation.
Received my Nand-X and some extra QSB boards and have installed them in two Xboxs, read both Nands with no bad blocks or mismatches 3 times each.
Thought I'd enlighten people who are like myself rather inexperienced with soldering. I followed a number of guides and like anything else in life, preparation is paramount.

(This is exactly the kit I used from Maplins in the UK)

Also I know a lot of people recommend practicing on an old board or piece of PC equipment and whilst that's a great idea the only problem I had with that theory is you may not get to see if your results would actually work, my solution was to purchase one of these.

For six pounds it was a great buy and enabled me to practice soldering a lot of component and solder joints and I got to check it all worked at the end. As an added bonus I also now possess an electronic die and no Xbox 360 shaped door stoppers!
The only soldering I have done prior to this is the Xecuter 3 some years ago on my original Xbox.
Hope this helps a few of you, and the old adage is definitely correct. "Practice makes perfect!"
So once again TX, thanks for all the help and advice that goes with your top quality products. As far as I can see no other similar manufacturer offers so much in support and tutorials as yourselves which are as invaluable as the superb products you produce.
