TX u have alot to answer to with your nand-x product.

you have probley made many 1000's of people knacker their consols up through your product.

all your mods on here blame bad soldering,it is naff all to do with soldering (well not on my part anyway).

its funny how so many people are incountering the same problem as me as in when trying to read or write nand we get the message "looking for usb device, can not be found"

please answer me this when i first set up a xenon board it read the nand twice & even let me write xell to nand.
then after that i get "cant find usb device" and what i've read on these boards & others the very same thing has happened to most people who are getting this error.

1 post i read the op had the same problem,he bought another nand-x unit then low & behold all was ok.
so it has to be down to your units,as i have eliminated every thing els

i bought my unit from mod traders uk,i will be getting touch with them tomorrow to see if i can have this unit exchanged then i bet i'll be able to read & write to nand.

Re: NAND-X units R a load of s**te

ive had the same issues with "looking for usb device, can not be found" and it was down to a bad solder joint. i find it funny thou how OP states it was working when he first used it but now it isnt. so how can it be faulty goods if you have used it and it was working ?

i dont know m8 u tell me

i've got 2 nand dumps & even wrote xell to nand,i did'nt touch no soldering or anything.

i unplugged the wire going to nand-x unit got my cpu key then made a freeboot nand & when i tried to flash it back to nand i get that error.

i know for a fact it is not my soldering i've even got a slim set up but i get the same error with that.
tried on 32 & 64 bit machines

so it has to be the nand-x unit i've eliminated everything els

Re: NAND-X units R a load of s**te

maybe you should try it on a different console to eliminate the nand X being the problem

Ive just had the same problem, read 1st nand dump, went to read 2nd and I got incompatible arm version then got loads of "usb bulk" errors. Now I get "looking for usb device cannot continue"

It has been working all week without any issues at all, so Im in the opinion it is the nandx and not user error or bad soldering

Ive done everything possible to get it going again but nothing.

I have two jaspers & one falcon waiting to be glitched and I cant do anything with the nandx

i have a xenon set up & a slim,on xenon i traced all wires back to nand-x unit with a multimeter all ok & traced most tracks on mobo & that seems ok.

i will post some pics in a bit my of soldering i know its not that

as you can see by some of the posts on here it's not just us mods that say it's the soldering that is the problem.

all TX products come with a warranty and if you think yours is defective return it to who you bought it from for a replacement.

Re: NAND-X units R a load of s**te

OP - I've done countless phats and slims now with my NAND-x and not a single problem. The problem isn't anything more than maybe a defective unit. As Sherlock says, send it back for a replacement.

Re: NAND-X units R a load of s**te

that soldering is poor in al fairness mate looks oxidised or something solder is ment to be nice and shiny when done.
looks like you have left some residue possible Flux could this exess liquid be causing a short ? maybe or maybe not.
u made our like ur soldering is machine like and to be fair it isnt all that good greenwire in the fat says it all

i had exact same issue with my nand x after i tried a xenon u uninstalled it all and started from scratch i read up on some soldering tips and what do you know i have read 100s of nands with that same kit

this is my soldering mate see the difference ??

ok can u try & answer me this then, how when i set xenon board up for the first time i was able to read 2 dumps & even flash xell to nand to get my cpu key.
then after that i keep getting this error same as other people they have managed to read nand a few times then it all fruits up.

it cant just be me & many others with same problem doing something wrong.

i will be returning this nand-x for a replacement & i will bet anything its the nand-x unit.

if thats the case u wanna start telling people it is some units that are faulty instead of blaming bad soldering all the time.

jesus christ i give up,no 1 can answer why i was able to read 2 nands & write xell to nand and NO i didnot switch box on with nand attached when i got my cpu key.

and i'll say it again there is nothing wrong with my wirering the xenon may look abit of a mess but there are no shorts, traced wirers to nand-x box & on xbox mobo all ok.

Re: NAND-X units R a load of s**te

ok
did u try resetting the device?
did you uninstall the drivers restart the pc then reinstall the drivers
what windows are you on
also what program u using to read the nand

when i did my first ever jtag xenon i had issue after issue after issue my soldering was SPOT ON i swore by it mate trust me the ammount of times i re did it spend loads on QSB then i went for the hard wire method and it looked spot on again 1 of the points looked perfect but this was the one causing the issue

Re: NAND-X units R a load of s**te

just cause there is no shorts doesn't eliminate very poor soldering joints. It also amazes me when i see wires soldered like yours as there is way to much exposed wire.
true that

i even think there is too much exposed on mine

Re: NAND-X units R a load of s**te

nothing wrong with green wire,& just because i aint got no shine on my solder joints does'nt mean it not connected to the board,as u can see yourself they clearly are.
