Re: NAND-X units R a load of s**te

Ive just had the same problem, read 1st nand dump, went to read 2nd and I got incompatible arm version then got loads of "usb bulk" errors. Now I get "looking for usb device cannot continue"

It has been working all week without any issues at all, so Im in the opinion it is the nandx and not user error or bad soldering

Ive done everything possible to get it going again but nothing.

I have two jaspers & one falcon waiting to be glitched and I cant do anything with the nandx

dale:facepalm:
i got a nand x here mate your welcome to use if your stuck:biggrin:

ok,

it's no use keep going over this, no one is saying 100% it's your soldering that is the problem, nor are they saying the nandx isn't the problem.

you can either redo everything again with the advise that these guys have given you or leave everything as it is and ask for a replacement.

then if/when you have a replacement connect it up again and see how it goes.

some people dont want to be help
i would liked to be helped its just that i'm sick of being told its down to wirering & bad soldering.

the mods & every 1 who are telling people this will end up with egg on their faces if it is down to some of the nand-x units.

and you'll of got 100's or 1000's of people fluking their mobo boards for no reason

99% time it is down to the soldering however i can confirm i did receive a Nand-X about a year ago from CK3, they replaced it for me after sending it back because i thought that was faulty.
They sent an replacement and this also did not work so it was down to my pc set up or my sh*te soldering. in the end i sent my board to manwithoutaname.

so as you can see from my experience it is usually down to what has been stated and bad set up or soldering skills

Re: NAND-X units R a load of s**te

ok
did u try resetting the device?
did you uninstall the drivers restart the pc then reinstall the drivers
what windows are you on
also what program u using to read the nand

when i did my first ever jtag xenon i had issue after issue after issue my soldering was SPOT ON i swore by it mate trust me the ammount of times i re did it spend loads on QSB then i went for the hard wire method and it looked spot on again 1 of the points looked perfect but this was the one causing the issue
yes bandit i've reset the nand-x flasher i've uninstalled the v3 & just tried the v2 drivers reset computer.
i'm using win 7 on 64 bit & tried it on another 2 computers 1 running win 7 64 bit & xp 32 bit.
when i read the 2 nands & wrote xell to nand i used coolshrimps jtag tool the l8est version.

Your soldering looks terrible dude !
Some of the contacts aren't even covered, and don't look like you used flux !
There will be the odd faulty unit but most problems are down to pebkac :(
Modtraders will test and replace it for you no problem :)

Re: NAND-X units R a load of s**te

That doesn't make his any better lol
The solder hasn't melted properly and has never seen flux which is only going to cause problems
just for your information i did use flux & as i've all ready stated all wirers are correctly attached to the mobo i've tested with mulitmeter.

thanks n1ghtowl i too have seen far far worse soldering & it does'nt help when u get told its down to your soldering so your desoldering & resoldering time after time.

see i'm not the only 1 thats why i started this thread i truely believe its down to the nand-x unit it can not be anything els as every thing els has been eliminated.

Send me your Nand-X to test, I have 3 that have never failed, if yours is faulty i'll send you mine while modtraders sort your replacement out... I can't help any more than that but I honestly see problems with your soldering, what iron are you using ?

if his retailer is telling him its down to the v3 drivers why has'nt tx picked up on this & done something about it,instead of telling every 1 its either down to bad soldering or wirering.

Re: NAND-X units R a load of s**te

I just received a nand-x and two coolrunners yesterday, and installed both to one of my banned systems. Couldn't get it to read in nandpro, (at best it would attempt with errors on every line), but I had to leave and couldn't finish up. Before I was using a homemade nand programmer I purchased from the xbox-scene forums and this time around it was much easier with the quicksolder boards. I'm not going to blame my tools because it didn't work first try when these are the best available right now. If Xecutuer's tools aren't doing it for you, get a replacement or build your own. It's obvious you're frustrated but it's not their fault at all.

instead of telling every 1 its either down to bad soldering or wirering.
coz 99% of the time it is
TX put alot of money and testing behind their kits in fairness now if u were to say it was a MAX kit then that makes sense lol
