Cover your points in flux and reflow them, I had a slim that was temperamental and worked for a few minutes then wouldn't read. I reflowed the points with flux and all is good.

Send me your Nand-X to test, I have 3 that have never failed, if yours is faulty i'll send you mine while modtraders sort your replacement out... I can't help any more than that but I honestly see problems with your soldering, what iron are you using ?
i've been soldering for years m8 i've even checked all these joints with a jewlers loup i can see the weld on the board & to qsb.

where about are you,i'm in birmingham

Mickeyvilla's going to be along here VERY shortly to explain why his NAND-x stopped reading and writing. Those of you having similar issues should have a good read of how he resolved it.....

It is not soldering related in my opinion, I use my own pinheaders and NAND-x writes fine. Then disconnect it and when u try to reconnect nandx I get USB error unable to continue, unplug and re plug the NAND-x several times after a while it works, so there is a issue somewhere with the NAND-x

Re: NAND-X units R a load of s**te

I think he's keeping his head down.

He PM'd me asking if I could fix it, to which I said "yes but it's a repair not an install". I got a reply back saying he's sorted it. He was plugging the green and blue connecters into the wrong sockets on the QSB. He's put them in the RIGHT ones (as the colours are very close to each other) and it's working now.

Yep, another PICNIC issue.

cheers martin c lol i knew it was'nt my soldering though.

yeah being the thicko that i am & being stuck on this for a week in the end it was a case of having them 2 little plug ins in the wrong sockets.
the blue & green 2 wire plugs although they are very simlar in colour or is it just me going colour blind.

i like to appologise to TX for doughting their product & any 1 els who i may offended, but my head has been screwed for days with this i just could'nt under stand why it worked 1 minute but not the next.

i'll await the barrage of abuse now,lol

i had a brand new nand x with v3 code which done the same thing then completely died after 2 installs.

Ive got a new one which also does the same but thankfully works fine :D
