Re: NAND-X units R a load of s**te

cheers martin c lol i knew it was'nt my soldering though.

yeah being the thicko that i am & being stuck on this for a week in the end it was a case of having them 2 little plug ins in the wrong sockets.
the blue & green 2 wire plugs although they are very simlar in colour or is it just me going colour blind.

i like to appologise to TX for doughting their product & any 1 els who i may offended, but my head has been screwed for days with this i just could'nt under stand why it worked 1 minute but not the next.

i'll await the barrage of abuse now,lol
Thanks for posting back. The points ARE very similar and I'm sure someone will let us know why other colours weren't chosen for these instead of having two points exactly the same size and only a shade or two in difference. If it were me, then large connector would be white as well as one of the small connectors (as you can't get this mixed up), with the other small connector being black.

Either way, I'm glad you sorted it and it was something this simple.

Great thread. Kept me occupied for a while. Noce to see mickeyvilla came back after giving TX such a hard time. These mods aren't the simplest for proplre like me who only solder to consoles and have only done around 20 mods. I'm first to admit my soldering isn't the most professional but it works.

It's not always easy with hardware, software and solder to deal with and we can all trip up over the simplest things. Quite often it's the simple things we miss cause the difficult parts are where we pay most attention.

Thanks for threads like this where we can all learn to follow the instructions right down to which colour wires go where. I assume most people are like me where we understand parts of these modifications and are attempting to learn the rest as we go.

Thanks to TX for taking the time to walk us through the use of their products rather than leaving us to stew in our own incompetencies at times!!

Interesting read, kept me amused for a few mins. Glad it's all sorted and was so simple.

With these things sometimes you need to take a break and leave it for a day before you notice the obvious problem. Spending too much time and effort looking for the problem usually means you overlook the actual fault and just end up frustrated. :)

It's easily done, I have to check and double check because with the light in my office it can be difficult to see, but this has made me laugh!
