Hi all,

I just bought the nand-x.

I try to install it, but my PC gives me "Unknown device" problem error 43 (I'm under windows 7 64bits)

I tested with two other PCs (windows vista and windows xp) and same problem.

I change the USB cable and such.

I have install the drivers Nand x by adding a device, but the nand-x remains unknown device.

Is it compulsory to solder it before, to detect Nand x?

do you think it is defective?

Thanks a lot :)

the bottem circle you highlighted is correct, if you added new hardware an got the unknown devise ,just uninstall it and refresh devise manager and should be ok.
you will need to solder your qsb, or wires to use the nand-x

No, the nothing else needs to be connected for the NAND-X to be recognized by your computer. Do you get one or both lights on (orange & red)?

Did you get the latest drivers off here ? http://team-xecuter.com/nandpro_20d_drivers.rar

Here look at mine, I just plugged in one of my 2 NAND-X devices without it being connected to anything else and see what my Device list is showing (picture attached)

ok, when you first plugged in the usb with nand-x connected you sais

--I have install the drivers Nand x by adding a device, but the nand-x remains unknown device.--

what device did you install???? as that need removing whatever it was.

you only need to solder when you going to dump your 360's nand.

flashing360 ==> When i unplung Nand-x "Unknow Device" Go from device manager

tony1160 ==> i do, and i obtain "the folder does not contain a compatible driver for your device.

Whatever the reason because of which that Unknown Device is being shown, you don't need to worry about it. I recommend that you just forget that it even appears there. Your Nand-X is fine and will work fine. Just solder the NAND QSBs and see it for yourself.

M AzeeM K ==> I solder nand QSB (solder and unsolder much times to verify my solder but all is ok), and nandpro or jtag tool make "not device found", i believe that my computer (and 2 others computers) does not link between "unknown device" and nand-x drivers

As a matter of fact, I noticed it now. I am using Win7 x64 and when I connect my Nand-X, I also get an Unknown device shown in Device Manager alongwith Nand-X showing up separately. But my Nand-X works fine.

Therefore, you should check the soldering of the NAND QSBs. Probably they are not soldered correctly at a point or two.

Also, can you post some High Resolution pictures of the NAND QSBs so that we can rule out if the error you have having is not caused by the soldering.
