NAND-X (Unknown device)

M AzeeM K ==> ok, but i have same things with my 2 others PC with Windows Vista and Windows XP....
Don't worry about it. As long as your Nand-X is being recognized by the PC as Nand-X and is also showing up in Device Manager as Nand-X, everything is fine.

Leave the Unknown Device Mystery and check the soldering of the NAND QSBs. Also post some pictures of the NAND QSBs if you can.

If I were you, I wouldn't try to remove the QSBs and install Pin Headers instead.

Just check the soldering of the points on the QSBs. There is probably a cold joint somewhere, that's why the Xbox360's NAND isn't being recognized in NandPro.

I already check solder much times, and it's Ok, no cold joint, it's for that i would trying pin header, no solder just put in and 100% OK.

If you couldn't get the QSB's to solder properly I doubt you can do the pin headers any better. I would advise you just to use the wiring method and solder the wires directly onto the motherboard.

Soldering doesn't look that good to be honest but I'm mostly worried about the one in the last picture in the bottom. It looks as the soldering is hardly making any contact with the points on the motherboard.

Exactly. This is why I asked him not to try the Pin Headers method because it would be a complete disaster with that soldering.

id 3rd that lol. soldering dont look too good. tbh though i find the pin headers easier than the qsb lol.
You are "THE FLASH" ;). Many things that are easy for you aren't easy for others e.g. Kicking others asses in MW2 etc. I actually find that hard to do, you know :p

ok Thanks,

Well i will return my nand-x to the shop, I tested the nand-x today at a friend who had a USB module and we have installed on his xbox with the pin header and that the NAND-x behaves in the same manner and nandpro not find any USB Device

I think this is more computer related rather than NAND-X it self. Reason is I noticed the same thing with my new NAND-X. No matter what I try it still giving me unknown device on my 5 year old AMD setup but it works just fine in our other new Samsung setbook.

The Samsung netbook can recognize my both old and new NAND-X's but I can only get the old one to work with my main computer. Removing drivers and installing them with number of times rebooting did not solve the issue!!!

Well then, maybe you should get another Nand-X. Hopefully the new one will work on your computer.
