just got a quick question to ask do i need the nandx v3 to read and write to the nand on my slim rgh console

No, if you are reading and writing to the Nand.

But as slims are not exploitable unless they use the RGH, then you going to need a coolrunner, then your going to need a V3 as they can write to the coolrunner, whereas the V2 cannot
