I'm using JTag Tool 4.23 and I'm at the step of writing the ECC, it was encoded without any errors. I get this message when I try to write ECC, "nandpro 3.0a looking for usb interface device can not continue" What is going on?

360 flash dump tool says my 2bl is 6751 if that means anything

If I was able to read my nand and get 2 identical dumps then I should be able to write it, correct? Would this rule out a soldering issue?

i'm also able to program the coolrunner with nandpro xsvf: Jasper.xsvf and i don't get any error messages but somewhere along the way the green LED on the coolrunner turned off...

i'll try that. additionally, did you also have a moment where a few tendrils of smoke came out from under the corner of the board where the ethernet and video ports are? :)
(that was afterwards, must have shorted the bottom of the motherboard on the metal xbox case)

no it wasn't serious i'm just trying to laugh about it instead of smashing everything that i've been working on for the past 8 hours, oh well if i did burn up the ethernet port at least the xbox should still work...

i think the green light on the coolrunner disappeared about the time i programmed it so probably there was an issue there. i can't seem to find a tutorial showing exactly how the coolrunner and nand-x should be wired up to program the coolrunner...any help?

also the switch on the coolrunner labeled PRG and NOR...which direction should that be? I program it switched both ways and the green led comes on for about 2 seconds until the programming completed successfully then its gone. Is this how it should be?

I received the same error, soldering went great, re-flashed the NAND-X, checked drivers, rebooted, pulled my hair out.

Solution for me, plug in the xbox to the wall... FiB3R's tut doesn't tell you to do that.

Thank You, Mr McGee for solving my NandPro issue.

I have soldered the QSB, I know my soldering is good enough, I am following the DARKFiB3R guide, and it doesn't say to power the console.
I have the "Can not continue" problem, I followed the guide to install NAND-X win7 x64 drivers, and all it was down to was stand-by power.

I have now successfully dumped the nand.

I had this same issue when trying to use the Nand-X to read the nand from a Slim 360. It would give the exact same error. I had desoldered and resoldered the QSB and checked all points and it still gave the same error. I gave up on the slim. (Yes I had the Nand-X flashed with the ArmV3.hex.)

I then installed the QSB to a falcon Phat 360, used the exact same Nand-X and it dumped the nand no problem whatsoever. My Nand-X must be the first generation one or whatever, as it has the Yellow light.

It obviously is not the ArmV3.hex programming or it would not have dumped fine on the falcon 360. And I did not commit the "dumb dumb" error by not plugging in stand-by power to the slim 360, and my solder points were all perfect on the slim. My points soldering the QSB on the falcon 360 worked on the first try, etc..

With all that being said, I'm wondering if maybe there is some issue that causes problems when dumping on Slim 360's using the 1st generation Nand-X with ArmV3.hex?
