Hi all,

I'm having problems reading the NAND from my Falcon using the Nand-X and QSB connections. I connect the device up and can execute the command to read the NAND:

nandpro.exe usb: -r16 orig.bin

But I keep getting the following (or similar):

Error:25c reading block 3e3

Is this anything to worry about? I've dumped it about 15 times and get the same error every time, nandcompare reports all dumps match.

Thanks in advance.

If it is consistent with each read, it is a physical defect on the NAND which is normal. It doesn't matter, just be sure you get at least two matching dumps. Bad blocks don't matter as long as they are in the same location(s) each time.

This is fine, now you can proceed to get your CPU key and build FreeBOOT (don't forget to map the bad blocks in the FreeBOOT image).
