nandx and coolrunner clearing question

before i give up on tx products and go to another glitch chip.
I was hoping to get some clearification.

I asked modchip central what was needed to use a coolrunner
there answer
"You will basically need the NandX and the CK3i as well."

I want to make sure this is true before i order a matrix chip or another as i was usually a tx guy. I would hope you do not need $80+ more in hardware to use a coolrunner.

as i have a ck3.. probe v1..2..3 and x360usbpro
also older ck type boards (vamp) sitting unused on shelves
usb nand programmer ..... I even have 2 chip programmers.

SO I guess the main thing is What for sure is needed to use the coolrunner as i dont plan on buying anything new that does what i can already do.

i believe that you only need the nand x assuming you say you have a ck3 to power the nandx the nandx is only used to add the firmware to the coolrunner and program it as i understand it

well most people who wrote the guides for using the coolrunner have been using the ck3i as its the newest way to power a drive so the guy thought it was needed or it could be just to boost sales but i will be definitely be getting one as they are sweet. Ive also looked into glitching but idk.

I may look into a ck3i but i have not used my ck other than to power a drive in 10 months since i bought my x360pro

let me take that back i have my probe 3 is hooked to it

migrain and comment not working right

well if it works than just use it the only difference between the ck3 pro or lite from the ck3i is that it has some new fuses that keep it from messing up the drive and the ability to eject and what not from jungle flasher from what ive read

you need some kinda tool like nandx to dump the nand in order to make your Files .. don;t have to be nandx but i stick with team xecuter as i back it 100%

also the cool runner its like any reset glitch but it much better as the team has taken there time and fix alot of bug any reset glitch need a programming cable you can buy one usb for 45.00 - 49.00 or you can build one
from parts you find in local store like radio shack

Team xecuter is making cable that can do that for much better price .. that can be use with there tool nand x so now you have one tool that can do 2 job
dump nand and program your reset Glitch ..

also since nandpro V3 has been updated in order to update your nandx you can use the new CK3i to update the nandx.

Now if you still want to buy that sh*t matrix go head and order it remmber still need cable to program it that they don;t tell you.

and still to this day lot of prople who by that sh*t have problem on slims.

not sure ill be leaving the coolrunner in the slim just need to make sure the key i have dumped is correct because im getting unrecognized disc errors after installing and flashing replacement board.

hmmm guess i need to look into the ck3i updating the nandx as i have yet to see that listed in its features....
from what i have read so far other than a few more whistles its not much dif .... I rather not get a matrix just at this piont i hate to spend $80 to get a cd key that i may already have lol

that will take the price to a bad kazi job to $180 starting to hurt alot

Honestly, you don't need a NAND-X or CK3i...for the coolrunner.
All you need is:
-TX CoolRunner
-A way to read/write your NAND (USB or LPT)
-A way to program the CoolRunner (Buy a pre-made USB programmer, pre-made LPT cable, make your own LPT cable, or CK3i+NAND-X)

That's it. You can go on the cheap if you want, just makes it a bit more time consuming/difficult

I believe the Ck3i isn't needed nor the CK3 Pro they are just options if you already own them to update the nand-x, I recall Uber commenting that there will be a TX serial to usb made for updating the nand-x to NAND Pro V3 so that the Coolrunner can be programmed.

and like he keeps saying when he releases the tut he will advise on the different equipment options we have

NO ONE knows what we need yet everyone is just guessing.
just hold fire and wait like the rest of us if u go elsewhere then thats upto u but i bet it wont be long before u come back as the coolrunner setup will dominate the scene
