Nandx Question

Ok, I have my nandx soldered in, though the guides I'm finding say I should be on dash 14699 I'm on a much much earlier dash. Can I disconnect the NandX and leave just the wires in the box and update to 14699? Or Do I need to desolder the wires, update and resolder them back into the box?

Any Help Appreciated!

Ok lemme explain a little bit more, I'm only doing this to get the keys, as it's a xenon board. Though when I open J-runner I have to select a dash. and what I'm on isn't there, not that I remember the exact number... and since I'll be flashing back the original nand after I get the Drive Key's should I update it first?

You shouldn't have to select a dash to create the .ecc

Ok, I just found something that says my xenon which is a CB of 1923 is not glitchable. Is this still true with the new files from here?

J-Runner will create the image with a modified cb.

I'm not sure you fully understand what you're doing. You don't need to rebuild any NAND. Create an ECC from your dump and flash to the console. When you're done and you have the CPU key, flash the original dump back.

Ok, then I am temporarily stopped until my cool runner shows up... it should be here today! I'm keeping my fingers crossed at least! Thanks so much for your help! I'm sure I'll be posting more questions after I get the CR installed.

Just remember its only to retrieve the keys and is not stable for RGH. Could take up to 24hrs from what I've heard to glitch into xell

Yeah, I know it can be a PITA... though if I can get the keys back for the drive, I'll be happy! Thanks for the edit in your message, looks like my CB won't matter! that's sweet to know :)

So far, I've been messing with the J-Runner, I've got like 8 or 10 different nands created, (refuses to be on that only has 1 spare nand incase of any screwups!) and EVERY ONE of them matches. so I think the rest of this should go well for me hopefully :)

Keys for the drive?

You can grab the keys for the drive with Jungleflasher.

I'm confused on what you are trying to accomplish. Unless you screwed up your DVD drive and no longer have your DVD key, then you can get your CPU and DVD key from xell.

Ok guys I'm back, CR is installed, I've written the ecc, and now I'm to the point you disconnect the power and nandx from the MB, wait 30 secs and turn console on... do I complete disconnect the nandx from CR too? or does it stay connected there?

OH believe me, I read all the stuff about having nandx connected and powering on the xbox... I wasn't gonna take the chance... I removed it :)

Hopefully tomorrow I can get pics of my soldering, cuz the green light isn't flashing. I did bridge the cap on the cool runner, though it's getting late, and my mind isn't functioning well now. so I'm gonna pick it back up tomorrow after I get some other caps and see if those help..

Ok, I have a stupid question for anyone out there... The .sxvf file's, Are the ones in the common dir already the newest files? or do I have to put those files in there? if so, do I have to rename it xenon.sxvf? because I put the tx_xenon file in there and there's no way to select it through J-Runner?

J-Runner select the correct file for you. When you have Xenon selected and you press flash coolrunner it selects the one for the Xenon. Now you never wanna leave the Nand-X plugged in when powering on the xbox on. The green light is not flashing becasue one of the wires my not be connected right. Can we have some pics of the install.
