Hi everybody, right where do i start....

I have had my nandx for just over a month and it worked flawless every time, but today i had a falcon board which gave me random bad blocks, i did not think much of it as i checked my wires etc and dumped again which i got 2 perfect dumps after.

But when i went to write xellous it gave me bad block errors again so i waited for it to finish then retry but all i get was "cannot detect flash controller, cannot continue" which i thought was strange, so i checked my wires again to be sure and i am 100% happy with as i am no stranger to jtags i know whats involved with soldering etc and i have tagged well over 100 xbox's,
I still could not get it to detect so i tried on another machine with same results, so i thought that maybe i got one of those dodgy boards that the spi stops working on so i tried 3 other 360's that i know works and it could not detect flash on those iether.

So i asked a friend if i could lend his nandx and it worked 1st time with no issues, so i tried my one again and it could not detect flash so im thinking that the arm controller has gone caput so is there anything i can do to troubleshoot this nandx or is it dead?

Thanks in advance

a) did you reset the device?

b) if device is faulty contact your original point of sale.

yes i did test it on 3 other xbox's which i know that dump ok as they are allready tagged, plus i tested on a scrap one i have here without a gpu and cpu on but i have dumped the nand from off this board before just to get the kv form off it, it did could not detect flash controller on all of those.

and "manwithoutname" i did reset the nandx to no avail.

looks like i will be giving ck3 shop a call and sort out a replacement.

the initial post was just incase anybody else had a simular problem and was wondering if they had a remody for it, i.e cold joint on the nandx pcb etc.

but thanks all for your replys so far :)
