do you get the error with other games that are backups? it might be your dvd drive is dying or it might be the type of media you are using.

try extracting the game with quix, and then remake the iso, then burn again.

the way i read it is..you have the ACTUAL game, and trying to copy it(as u put it "download") to your HDD

if thats the case, then matt is prob right, your cd drive is on the way to the grave.....

open it on your pc, copy the files...and ftp it to your xbox.....theres an option 4 ya

what apps are you using to copy it to your Hard disk.

I would recomend DVD2XBOX 0.7.0 with ACL processing enabled.
About 99.9% of games work using this method.

its not my dvd drive a few of my boys have the same problem i will update my dvd2xbox

I am having the same problem.

I own the game, so after saving it to my HD using DVD2XBOX, it appears in my game directory.

When I try to run it a message appears telling me that the "Game disc is either damaged or dirty" and it freezes up.

Any suggestions.

To be honest I don't know very much about my Xbox chip.


You see, I'm in a wheelchair and a friend of mine installed the software so that I wouldn't need to physically change discs everytime I want to change games.

I believe I use Flash Bios and Xecuter.

Where would i find specifics?

Normally in order to play games that have been copied to the HDD you will launch them from a menu of sorts normally called a dashboard

Do you have a digital camera that you can take a picture of what the screen looks like when you select a game to play?

this has been a problem discussed on xbox-scene. It seems like no one has a solution for this problem yet. Also, they have discussed a possible fix for softmods but not for anyone with a chip... Hope to see it soon.
