Flash to stock before u do a dash update.....
load your dummy.bin as source in jf...
load the stock firmware from the latest fw pack as target....hit spoof to target, and your good to go.....everything else is the same as a normal flash shown in the guides section...
after the update u would then flash the custom firmware in the same way

Thanks much for the reply! Regarding the "Load the stock firmware from the latest fw pack as target".. Where do I get that?

Ok. Got that file.. Under the stock fm I choose "LiteOn (Phat)" but there are two folders under there named "LiteOn_Post_13141" and a "LiteOn_Pre_13141".. How do I know which one to use?

Thanks again

What are the 13146 and 12625 numbers though? Sorry.. :(

Post (After) = 13146 and later

Pre (Before) = 12625 and earlier

it's the dashboard revision on your xbox - if you have a pre 13146 dahs your drive will show in jf as 74850 - if it is 13146 or later it will show as an 02510
If u have your xbox together u can check in system info on your dashboard
system settings > console settings > system info

Ok, I'm about to use JF to flash back to stock.. I'm a pre 13141 as my drive shows as "74850C" in JF.. I go in that folder and see these:

How do I know which one to choose?

Also, off topic.. Stupidly I went to play my backup copy of Madden 12 (haven't turned on 360 in months). It asked to update and I didn't even think about it and said yes.. It got half way through and then brought up the following status code and won't go past it.

3151-335A-B800-0F00-C000-0034

I read about this and what happened and the solution is to flash back to stock (which I'm doing) and then update the dashboard.. I just want to make sure this won't screw up what you guys have been helping me with.

Thanks

Additional info.. Upon looking at the "MKT Flash 32" tab in JF it shows FW version as 0251 and the DVD Key as not found..

And more info.. Chose the orig-74850C-1a000.bin fw and went spoofed it per the JF guide.. Went over to the MTK tab and chose the "Lite On Erase" and then got this:

The update from madden alreadyflashed ur drive to stock.... The reason u got the error is because u were using a backup for the update.... So when the update flashed ur drive it couldn't read the disc any more.... Either use the original to complete the update or flash ur drive to lt+ v2 for the 02510 drive

So flashing to LT+ 2.0 before actually updating the dash won't break anything? Or did the dash already get updated from Madden?

What I've tried was flashing back to stock but every time I turn it on it still goes back to that update screen.

Thanks

Madden 12 started the update to dash 13146 , also changed your drive to be a 02510C so that is the new stock firmware , no longer 74850

you need to have the drive as a 02510c, then finish the 13146 update...Madden has only partially updated , but as it flashes to stock and you were using a backup you have got stuck

using the original Madden disc should complete it

could try , you need the 13146 update though, but you must have the drive as a 02510c not 74850c

i think that you might be able to flash the drive to LT1.91 for 02510 ( 2.0 is for 13599 dash- not sure if it would work) and then the put your Madden BU in , it should continue

Got my original Madden disk back and it went through the update. I then installed 2.0.13599 off of USB and flashed my drive to LT 2.0 and I'm back in business..

The only issue I have now is when I plug my Kinect sensor in it says an update is required.. I say no but WTF? Won't this pop up every time until I do update it? What do I do here??

Thanks

I have installed all updates when necessary.

If your unsure about the update, as always return to stock, and then update.

If you are already at 13599, then it is probably an update that only affect the kinect unit and other kinect items. They incorporated new speech recognition and more movement recognition. i think it is ready for the new Ghost Recon and other older orientated games.
