Need a little guidance please

I have updated my nand x using the tutorial ,then proceeded to install the qsb's (phat ) - for the rgh hack connected all the leads to the qsb's and then to the nand x and tried to get a nand dump but for some reason it wont let me !!!! think ive done something wrong somewhere

Does the coolrunner need to be wired up 1st before i try to read the nand ?
also do i need to program the coolrunner before installing to the console ?
thanks for any help you can offer

Odds are its probably soldering related, but reading the rgh roadmap will help no end. If you can't find anything but solder related, then post pics of your install.

Regarding pics please read the stickies thread entitled "pics" in the same forum as the rgh roadmap.

You do NOT need the cool runner installed to be able to read the NAND, please post the exact error message where it says looking for USB interface.
It's probably, no drivers, bad soldering or no power connection to the mobo

A couple things to check.
First does you computer make the friendly sound when you connect the nandX?
What leds are on on the nand X?
Does the NandX show un properly in your Device manager?
Have you tried Pressing the Reset button for 5 seconds on the NandX while pluged into your computer?
Have you tried both a Different USB cable and/or USB port?

yes the nand x makes a sound when connected
red and yellow leds are showing on on the nand X
yes the NandX shows up as xecuter nand x in Device manager
yes i have pressed the Reset button for 5 seconds on the NandX while pluged into your computer
tried different usb leads and ports

Seems like since i updated the nand x sumthings gone wrong as before i updated to armv3 i could read my nand on my jtag xenon but now its no longer working .

This may not work but mine was giving me the same error and I troubleshooted for hours. Then I finally plugged in my av cable and boom it worked perfect. Some people say it does not matter but that is what happened for mine. Possibly try updating it back to v2 and see if it is still working. That should take out a lot of possibility's.
