I have a Jtagged BB Jasper (512) which has been working fine for months but the time has come to update the dash so i can play newer games. I've made an updflash file using Easy Freeboot with the donor file option as i do not have the original nand dump.

When i use flash360 to update i get a warning message about keeping original keyvault and config files, do i keep the originals as i've used donor files? I ask as all the tutorials i've read say to overwrite these files but none mention using donor files in the first place as they asssume you have an original nand dump.

I don't normally ask for help as searching usually gets me what i'm looking for but this time i'm stumped.

Thanks for that link but I looked at that and one of the first things it says I you need your original NAND which I don't:( I did try that method but used my NAND dump which I got using flash360 but the tool would not recognise the dump.

Good. You made dump of the NAND in its current condition in which it is working. From now, this should act as you original NAND image.

Now, how about you try to open it in 360 Flash Dump Tool v0.97 and see if it opens it.

Confirm the CPU Key by running XeLL using the eject button.

Confirmed. All i really need to know is when i use flash360 to write the updflash.bin that i created with donor files do i overwrite the keyvault and config files or keep originals?

If you know they're the same, then no problem in overwriting them. Otherwise, don't overwrite them.

You know what, just proceed with not overwriting the KV and Config block. Hopefully you'll be fine.

Ok i took the blue pill and kept original keyvault and config and it works:D i still wonder in the back of my mind if it would have worked by overwriting those files though:)

It still would have worked, but its just better not to mess with the KV of a console ;)
