I was installing the Blaster CK3 and placed power on drive while Xbox360 was on and now the 74850c board is fried. I saw and smelled smoke. I do not have the keys and want to know what I can do to replace the drive with a new one and install the BlasterCK3 to flash new drive? I am looking for someone affordable who can dump the keys from the bad board so I can buy a new 74850c.

wait did you put the power cable upside down and short your drive. I would be able to repair that. I am located in ohio btw.

The board does not look damaged at all. It smoked when I placed the white power plug on back of board next to sata connection backwards while xbox power was on. I see no burned out joints in the board but it is no longer operational.

what is the mosfet? is that something that has to be desoldered? I am having trouble attaching pics. What would I have to ship and how long?
It is a componet on the pcb that I believe is what regulates the power. Though, it could have been that you fried mt chip. I would chat with xmods. He knows more about repairs than I do. Though if you could post or email me a pic of the pcb I can give you my input.
