legend don't spose you got any slim ones over there too? I've been chucking them away not thinking about it and all of a sudden got loads coming in that need then :facepalm:
i had a bin liner full of sh*tty slim bits, about 7 drives that were jammed up, took the lasers off but that was it. Bin man came. hour later UPS came with 3 slims with broken worm motors couldn't believe it.

i havent matey, i dont really do many drive repairs anymore but got a load of old drives in the shed so ive got loads of phat parts but no slim, hence my cry of help to you earlier lol.
oops. you know them jammed drives, if the tray was stuck open and couldn't be pushed in or pulled out all they needed was the drive tray reseated in place. you can just twist the tray carefully and pop it out on the left side as you look at the drive from the front, reposition and voila sorted. i've had 5 all fixed this way no problems. worst part of it is finding the right position for the tray to start at to clear the lens moving up on closing the tray, but thats easy too for me its been at the half tray its needed to be put back at, i think you could just reset all the cog mechanism to fully open and do it from there to but i haven't needed to once yet.
