So I received today a jasper console, where someone tried to install coolrunner but failed. Dude ripped hana point trace completely but soldered wire with resistor, also damaged PLL_BYPASS point, also he fixed it with resistor, but I didnt remove duct tape he used cause it melted with glue or semthing, didnt wanna cut something in the process of removing it. Console is working by the way, it has 12625 dash installed. Strange thing is that I don not see any traces of soldering on J1D2 pinout for nandx wire install, where did he read the nand ffs? no traces of solder neither on top neither on back side of the board, he just messed these mentioned points and thats all...

here are the pictures

my question is this, can something be done to it via alternative points, or should I just let it go...

You already know the answer then why ask. If you think you're good enough then go for the alternate points.

Just because it had tape over the top doesn't mean it's shabby work, if it boots and runs fine I don't see your problem?

Using tape on a repair doesn't make sense as pulling tape off will pull whatever its holding down along with it, this is where hot glue is used. It's not the worst work I have seen though.

I am curious as to where the bottom repair is for as there is no CoolRunner installed?

CPU_PLL_BYPASS has been pulled, so R7R17 has to be re-traced to the topside alt. I thought this would be fairly obvious as it won't boot without it.

If it's booting then the traces are already repaired
And the reason why there is no solder on the nand points might be because he never attempted to read the nand after he messed up just fixing the coolrunner

As you might know the console sould boot normally with coolrunner fixed and switch placed on NOR

ya he attempted the most difficult points to solder and messed up so he never proceeded to nand points.

If it is booting fine then use the alt points no problem. Its an easy fix...

If you can solder well, then sure - the alt. points should be ok.

For CPU_PLL_BYPASS, I fix the underside trace using what's left of the via (so no repair from bottom to top), leaving the top point good to go for the Coolrunner.

I'll post a pic of the underside trace fix later on - it's certainly not for the faint of heart.

just to let you know all

soldered everything but there is always but...

it glicthes slow even with cap on, need about 30 secs or so to boot to xell, so read the cpu key flashed new nand back, it boots again slowly when the board is on table, sometimes wont even boot after 3-4 times, when it boots all works well

when i put it back in case it always freezes, sometimes it boots just to freeze later on MS dash of FSD its the same... sometimes without HDD it does not freeze on logo but later on

so after all tweaking tuning dunno what to do anymore, flashed back original nand and left it as is it works then normally as non rgh console...

any suggestions?
