Hi all,

My setup -

1) SysNAND = 10.0.1
2) EmuNAND = 10.0.1
3) SX OS v2.9.5

My questions are -

1) How do i update my EmuNAND to 10.0.3 without losing my currently installed software and saved data on the EmuNAND.

2) To update the SysNAND can i just reboot the Switch into OFW mode and update officially via Nintendo servers?

I'm a semi-noob, everytime I've updated I've just restarted the whole process from the beginning each time, but this time i would like to do so without losing save data and currently installed software.

Thanks in advance.

1. The software can always be reinstalled after the update, the saved data is the only important part. Saved data can be backed up (and restored) using CheckPoint. Just Google "Switch Checkpoint" it'll take you right to the GitHub website. Check'em out, I use it on my own equipment.

2. Yes you can, but... I prefer to restore a perfectly clean sysnand from backup first, before it was hacked as a just in case. Once restored, then I do a factory reset, then setup as a new switch with update from the Nintendo servers. Now all clean and updated, I create a new sysnand back for the next update, and rehack the switch again. It's probably much for the average person, but I'm doing all i can to keep my device from being banned. Others do a straight up sysnand update from official servers like you asking without any issues too. Your mileage may vary.

1. I always download the FW archive and use ChoiDujourNX to install it. I didn't loose data and save data, I did it a every new version.
Remember to have the last SX OS version before.

2. I turn off my switch, remove my SDcard with SX OS. Enter on OFW mode turning on the Switch and do it online by nintendo servers.

Noob question here...
Do I need to do the part 2 (update de NAND)? I already did part 1 (updated the EmuNAND with ChoiDujourNX).
Is it OK to leave the NAND in a different system version than the EmuNAND?

You don't need to update the nand. I updated mine because I play online in the OFW with original game cart.
