or you can just put a X3 in your v1.0 and save some money.

I agree with badazz74, and 1.6's have lots of chip and bios problems according to these forums.

I just installed my first mod chip on my v1.6b and I havent have a problem. The only thing I read is that you can't see the correct temp.

Uh oh... Did you pull out the d0 point? Or just the wire?

If you pulled the d0 point, then you will have to retrace it. If this is the case, and you didn't find it: http://www.teamxecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9334 <--- How to retrace

If all you did was break off the wire, then all that is needed if for you to break off the other wires! :) Well, you might want to heat them up first. :) Wish I could help you with the LPC holes. I think the interface on the LPC is slightly different for the X3 and the X2. You'll need to ask somebody else about that.

I have one more suggestion: assuming that you didn't pull the d0 point on your current XBox, remove the mobo and sell it, chip attached. You can sell it as a pre-modded motherboard, make some money, then buy another mobo for your current box. Just a suggestion. Good luck!
