I am a noob at flashing 360 drives. I have a question. I have a Liteon drive and it is flashed to LT+1.9 but I didnt flash it, someone else did. I have seen videos in you tube and Tuts here which says that you need to extract keys with that probe 3 tool. My question is that do I need to extract keys again if i am just updating my ixtreme to LT+2.0 or can I simply do it without extracting the keys. Is extracting keys only for the first time you flash the drive or do you have to do it every time you upadte ixtreme?

If you have your OFW dump from the first time the drive was flashed then no you will not have to get the key first. If you do not have it then you will have to use the p3 to extract the key before you update to 2.0
If someone else flashed your box then more or likely they didnt provide you with your keys, you have 3 options
1. Ask the person who flashed for a copy of keys
2. Buy the probe 3 ( assuming you have all the other equipment)
3. Give up and get someone else to flash it

OK thanks for the reply, but one more thing. Is there a way to connect a probe 3 without that x360usb and CK3 pro tool. I have an inbuilt sata slot in my pc and i can power the drive through my 360. I know it may flag my 360 but mine is already flagged so can you tell me if there is a way to connect the probe 3 without CK3 Pro and that USB tool. If it is, a diagram or a link can be really helpful. thanks in advance.

I know it is there forums but I dont have enough money to buy all 3 tools, I can only buy the probe 3. sorry.
Then option 3 use that money to get someone else to do it,
Or option 4 play only originals till you can buy correct tools

Get someone else to get the dummy.bin from the drive.
Once you have it you'll not need to probe it again.
