need bios help

i have use cdrw dvd-r and useing x3 2913 + i have a ver 6 xbox .x3 all i get is halting no bios update found what iam i doing wrong and can u use the programer to flash the chip thanx .and yes i used nero and the iso

make sure you enabled flash. I also read that if you update via cd/dvd-r, try changing the bios name to bios.bin. Hope it helps

are u using the bios for v1.6?

and yes i used nero and the iso

The bios is NOT a ISO file it's a straight data file.
Everything else concerning the xbox is ISO.

iam useing x3 2913 v16plus and i burn it useing nero and make a iso image thats right i hope and on the flash screen it is flasbiso 3.0.0 and turn on bank1 and 2 the rest off and still halting no bios please help thanx

I think u need flasbiso 3.0.3 for the v1.6. did u put a dummy file on the disk? Try setting the swicth to (off on off off) for bank two.

ok u think i need 3.0.3 and the switches i have the pro and the one that comes with x3 i put in the one that came with the x3 i trun on the frist 2 the rest off

that will give u the first 1mb. and off on off off will give u the 2nd 1mb. the first 1mb should have a flashbios on it. u might try using another cd that is cdrw. maybe a diferent brand cdrw too.

try maybe burning it as a data cd not a .iso just make sure to put a dummy file on it.

i am not sure on the programer, i have never used it before. did u check the switch on the chip?

jazz3, you downloaded the file as a .rar, did you unzip it first or did you just download and change the .rar to .bin? If you did download and change the name to .bin use winrar and unzip 1st and then do what you have to do, I don't really know it you have to change name or not, I used ftp.

ok i got it it works after i had use 10 kinds of cd-rw had to put 400mb dummy and it finally flash thanx for all the help and the cd-rw waz a memorex old one the new ones would not work hope this helps some one eles

try download Qwix1.01 from usual place and create iso from that. Make sure to add dummy.bin to it.
