I currently teach a basic and advanced computer and electronic course at a community college. I had a couple students that were curious about modding various game consoles. And sense I have a couple of Xbox consoles I can spare around the house I put together a project/experiment regarding the JTAG/RGH of the Xbox 360 Slim console. And do to my lack of knowledge of the nodding of the console I would love if I can get some guidance from a internet and Xbox sensation such as yourself. So my question(s) are:

Can you construct a list of every piece of equipment and electrical components that you currently sell that I would need to complete the installation of a JTAG/RGH Xbox 360 Slim.

Iv read a lot of forums and posts regarding this matter and none of themm really go over what an individual exactly needs to JTAG/RGH a certain system. But only has a list of items you have to offer. If you can help me and my students it would be greatly appricated.

First you need good soldering skills, then, you need a device to flash the nand and a chip to glitch the console, buy a JR-Programmer V2 to flash the nand and a CoolRunner 4 XL to glitch the console, Slim consoles can't be Jtagged, so you'll have to perform RGH2.

EDIT: I almost forgot, it depends on what kind of slim it is, maybe you need the POSTFIX Adapter, if you could open it and send a pic...

I'll put it like this so it's clear:

- Nand Flasher:JR-Programmer
- Glitch Chip: CR4XL (Coolrunner 4 XL)
-If you have a Corona board V1 - V6: POSTFIX Adapter
- If you have a Corona board V2/V4/V6: 4GB Nand R/W SD Kit

As well as a soldering iron, a small tip, flux, solder and some desoldering wick

I was reading your reply and thank you for getting back to me. I noticed that you said I need a postfix if I have corona v1-v6 but then you said v2,v4,v6 I need the 4Gb Nand Fix. Did you mean trinity?

No, Corona V2, V4 and V6 need that because the nand is different, the Trinity's have a 4GB module apart from the nand, a Trinity can be read with a JR-Programmer, look at this:

And if you have a 4GB nand, you don't need a JR-Programmer.

Have a nice day!

If you are planning for succes for your class, you should probably get a few RGH under your belt first. It's not as cut and dry as you think.
no it isnt, and alot of the points you will have to solder to are pretty small.i would first make sure they know how to make solder flow the way they want it to before attempting this. another great piece of advice is to make sure they understand that flux is really needed anytime you solder. go back and pull requests for help here, and most of the people you see will have super dry solder joints, because they used no flux at all. flux is key to a successful soldering job! flux will clean and prep the area thats getting soldered to,as well as help the heat transfer better.

I have to totally agree with the responses you received. There is a TON of stuff you have to go through to get the Corona's RGHd. Some of the older units are a little easier, but most the time do not last as long due to the components installed by M$ originally. Soldering? If you cannot due the size of a head on a pin, you better do a LOT of practicing. It is cool once you get something done, but way past frustrating each time you don't. Best of luck, but plan...and I do mean that...plan to fail the first couple of times.

same thing I said in his other post. learning to solder is the main key. its different phases of the process. soldering is one of the main keys. teach. them that first bottom line. people get on here and learn the process but fail on soldering skills. and then mess up the boards. if I was teaching someone to rgh soldering would be the first thing. that the first phrase of doing rgh successfully.
