need hdd in specific file format?

ok im trying to get my freestyle dash 2.2 to reconise my external drive but im having no luck, does it need to be in a specific format?

FAT32 format, like Frayed said.

Make sure your paths are set correctly, and the scan depth is deep enough to find what you have. Not too deep, though. Makes sh*t slow.

More importantly than FAT32, it must be a primary partition and not a logical one
