ok - so you have to find which value can be used for both. i.e you know that 3 won't boot and 4 or 5 won't update. However they boot. Therefore the top LDV has to be 4 or higher. Therefore leave this at 4 for now and play with the bottom LDV value. You started at 2 before patching. You moved this to 3 and it's now at 5 which doesn't really make much sense. Try reducing this to 4 and if that doesn't work, increase to 6 and see if that helps.

Here is some rEsults ive taken m8.

using the 13146 dash that updated:

6BL patch:0 LDV 4
6BL patch:1 LDV 5=boots fine/ no update e81
LDV 4=rrod e81
LDV 6=boots/no update e81
LDV 7=boots/no update e81
LDV 8=boots/no update e81

next test:

6BL patch:0 LDV 5
6BL patch:1 LDV 5=rrod e81
LDV 4=rrod e81
LDV 6=rrod e81
LDV 7=rrod e81
LDV 8=boots/no update e81

I've no idea why it won't let you take 13599 but 13146 went without a problem!

Maybe wait until the next dash is out to see if it will let you bypass this.....

heres a update on my project. its not good as i tried to accept the newest update that got released today and still the same error. heres a video [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tj70F2IsZl4"]E81 update error on xbox 360 slim (trinity) - YouTube[/ame]

also seems that there has been new added checks introduced:

Im double posting this here too:

Found out that on location 0x19 of secdata the update sequence is stored. That has to match the LVD in 6/7 BL. If not update will E81. At least this check is found on 13599-13604, not before. I dont think we can easily edit it as 0-0x18 contains hmac_sha1. I will further investigate this. Also Xval will report invalid secdata.

ill keep posting more info as i discover/find :)

Ok - no need to do any of that.

Once you have your CPU key, use easyggbuild 0.4 FINAL and build a retail NAND with it. I did one the other day without knowing about the checks in secdata and crl.bin. I've just checked the decrypted files it created and they're all at the same LDV value.

Sorted!
