I believe I have a defective power/eject adapter-
I noticed the problem when my Xbox would turn on automatically and not turn off after connecting it- (I tried connecting the adapter by itself w/and w/out the X3 installed).

I noticed on the bottom of the power/eject adapter that the power button pins appear to be shorted (the solder appears to have overlapped and attached the two pins).

Can someone please post a picture of the bottom of their power/eject adapter (under the black sticky pad) so that I can verify?

Thanks,

Update:
Well. No-one posted a picture of the back of their adapter, so I went ahead and cut the solder between the two points.

My observation was indeed correct- it now turns on and more importantly OFF with no problems, I also tested the functionality of the X3 turning on and off and into backup--
Works great now.

So, if anyone else comes across this problem, check the solder points on the bottom of your adapter, none of them are supposed to be connected (although it looked like it was intentionally done on mine).

No one likes to hear this, but if you'd have searched, you would have found the solution to your problem. This has been discussed before. On a lighter note, glad you got it taken care of.
