Hello,

First, sorry about my English. I´m Portuguese and not very good writing in English.

I try to do my first jtag but something goes wrong, and now I need help. I do not know what to do to resolve my problem. The problem Is I cannot read or write the nand anymore.
The console is a slim (trinity) with 14719 dash.

The step I have done to install the jtag.
1- Programmed my coolrunner (reb B) chip using nand-x (v3) with the cable nand-x to coolrunner. After programmed put the chip in normal mode and slim mode.
2- I solder the cables to read my nand using nand-x.
3- Plugged the power cable, and read 3 nand dump with no error block, I used j-runner tools beta (266), the version 265 have a bug and not allow to read the nand.
4- I generate the ecc file and write the ecc to my nand with no error. All option in j-runner was as default.
5- Unplugged the power cable and install the wires of the coolrunner.
6- Connect the cable hdmi and power cable to the console and start with a cable game controller.

When I started the first time the console the fan start for only 1 second and stop, I then the center green light bilking, one red light in the coolrunner and no image. I try this several times and waited, but nothing. After several tries the console simply does not start anymore.

If I disconnect the console for the power supply more than one minute and try again I have the same problems, fan start 1 second and stop, green light bilking, etc…

Then I try to write my original nand to check if the problem was with the ecc file, but now I cannot read or write the nand. The nand-x is working ok and the solder wires are the same. I think the problem is with the nand chip of the console. I have the error of memory not recognize.

I have some questions and if someone can help me I appreciate.
1- The dash 14719 in the slim with the last version of the j-runner is jtag possible?
2- I read I have to do a reset of the nand, I can I do this?
3- The fan only start for 1 second and stop when a start the console, this is normal?
4- I have only a red light in the coolrunner and never a green, this is normal?

You need to work backwards. Desolder all Coolrunner wiring from the board, then try booting it again.
If i remove the coolrunner then is possible to write my nand again?

Can you explain better why i must remove the coolrunner wires?

check your soldering carefully, you have a lot of cable exposed, not reading your nand is almost definatley going to be soldering related!
I will remake the solder to check if this is the problem.

But I never removed the wires from the first read of the nand (step 3), and the first time I could read my nand with no problem.

Your problem is due to a short or bridge. Therefore, as already advised, remove all soldering and try again.

If you don't want to take advice then please refrain from posting for help. The issues you see are experienced daily due to soldering. My initial thought is STBY_CLK but you need to eliminate everything.

I removed all the wires from the nand reader cable and coolrunner. Booted the xbox with the hdmi cable connected; the power supply led turn green, fan working again and no image, I assume is not booting correctly because of the nand was written with the ecc or is corrupted.

My error was in the soldering of the cable of the coolrunner, because when the coolrunner was installed the power supplier led was red and the fan not working.

I solder again the cable of the nand reader and try to make a read, it started to read but with lots of error. A canceled the read process and try to write my original nand, but the jrunner gives me a general error. I make several more tries of writing or reading the nand but with no success, the nand-x does not recognize the nand.

the error i have from jrunner when i try to write or read is:
Arm Version: 3
Can not continue
Exited!

Any suggestion?

Power cycle the PSU, console and NAND-x in that order, then try again.

Check soldering on all points if it still doesn't work.

Read my NAND-x troubleshooting guide to check the values on the solder points.

I have try to power cycle but is was not working, can read or write the nand.

then i decide to remake the solder of the nand cable, but again not working.

Finaly i decide to remove again the cable, but this time i have solder the cable in the back of the board, connected nand-x using the powercycle you tell me and it work. At this point the nand-x device is writing my original nand but is very slow.

At this point it take 30 min to do 1/3 of the process, this is normal?

Also look on the underside of the board for bridging of solder.

Did you check the NAND-x points as previously suggested?

I do not have checked the point because I’m do not have the tool to do this task. I´m an amateur and have only some tools.

The write process of the original nand work and take about 3 hours to complete with the nand-x device. After the write process completed I try to make a new read, but the j-runner gives me a general error. Tried to power cycle several times to make the read, but with no success.

I removed the cable and try to boot the xbox with the game controller, but nothing happens. The console does not start, the fan does not work and I have no lights in the controller or xbox.

A think the xbox is dead…

Is there something I can do? The next step is to put the xbox in my horror room?

I have to ask...Did you use flux when you soldered the wires? Looking at the first set of pictures you posted, it looks like the solder is sitting on top of the pads and not really connected that good at all..

Also, you have quite a bit of exposed wire on the ends..This isn't helping anything at all.

Yes, I used flux for all the solder made.

About the wires there to must exposed, this was big errors have made. But I almost sure they do not touch anything.

After looking at your first set of pics, I think your problems are due to cold solder joints. If you go back and look at all the pics you posted, you'll see some solder points that are nice and shiny, while others look dull as hell.

Just my 2 cents. Hope you get it sorted.

The console was dead, and then decides to clean all the solder points and refill/remake with some solder all the points. Connected xbox with the hdmi cable, power cable and started using the game controller, the console starts to boot again. The boot result was: I have a flashing green light in the center, a green light in the psu, the fan working and no image. After 10/20 second the flashing green light turns to a constant red light, the light of the power unit continue green.

After several tries, same result, flashing green light and then red light.

I have remake my nand-x cable and added better wire to the end, I hope this resolve my problem with the exposed cable and bad connection.

I will try to read my nand with the modified cable later.

When my console starts the center led is green and flashing, after 10 seconds is change to a constant red light. The led of the psu is green all the times.

Someone now if this some error code?

Important note: this test was made with no dvd drive or hdd installed in the motherboard.
