Need help figuring out what DVD drive I have

i dont know how to get down to the disk drive and im scared i'll screw something up while trying. :|

Would a launch Slim definitely have a drive that does NOT require the extra $70 of components (DG-16D5S, LTU pcb) to flash it?

I'm gonna pay to send it to someone else who will flash it for me, but I need to know what type of drive it is first to know how much it will cost. I'm told 16D5S costs like $70 more to flash than 16D4S. Being a launch console, does that mean there's no chance that it's a 16D5S. Because correct me if I'm wrong but I was under the impression that the 16D5S came later.

if its a launch model,and never been back to ms for repairs,its pretty safe to say you have liteon d4s,but you could possibly have a hitachi too,so you really need to open it,or see my thread,and look at the pics here
