Need help installing chip

Ok I recently installed my x3 chip and everything went well, after awhile i ftped some videos over to my xbox and it froze, i restarted it and the chip outter panel got no light, so it must be a power problem to the chip, it must been my pinheader problems because thats where it gets its power, my soldering is kind of bad so I'm thinking of getting the xodus s.p so I don't have to solder the pinheader and will last longer. I need some tutorials to teach me how to install a x3 with the xodus s.p onto my xbox 1.6, or is it just so simple that I could figure it out without the tutorials?

Well the xapter don't work for the x3 for 1.6 and 1 of my pins is loose so I got to get a solderless adapter, the xodus is the only universal that works with x3 chips and compatible with all xbox versions thats the reason I'm getting it, how is this the wrong place to ask..... i have the x3 chip and want to know how to install a x3 with a xodus adapter when adapter is out.

well xodus is the rival company of xecuter. most people here don't like the people that run xodus. does that make all their products bad? i don't know. never bought from xodus. but to answer your question i would go here....http://www.teamxodus.com/. they might have a turorial on the adapter. to be honest the adapter doesn't look that bad. TeamXodus just markets everything like a$$holes.
