I recently came upon a deal on a mint slim and thought it would be easy to flash. The board was locked with 0225. My unlocked replacement was 9504 board. So I screwd around and locked it by thinking I had to flash 0225 orig firmware to it since that is what was in mine. I have the DVD key but not the dummy.bin Tried to force vendor mode by probe and got the dvd key it said something about failing and stopped without making the bin but it did show the DVD key. What should I have done with the 9504 replacement board? Anyway to unlock without the kamikaze and no Xbox360pro thing? Please reply with some good advice. Reason I replaced the 0225 board was because it was locked and I think I burnt it up or something by probing mpx01. Now I can not force vendor mode on the old board anymore and it gets really hot on some spots.

what you should of done was read the guides here and the jf tut,then you should of bought a usbpro and a tx replacement pcb.once you had these it would of only been a matter of doing slimkey in jf to get the dummy bin from the 0225,then flash it to the tx pcb with LT 3.0
So did you get the key from the 0225 drive? Detect the drive in jungle flasher slim key then 'no' and you should be able to grab the key.
If you cannot get the key and you have fried the PCB layout hen the only option is to rgh

Yes I got the DVD key but like I said it started the process and showed the key and then it is like it locked up and then it said it failed and it did not make the dummy.bin Can I create a bin with the key that it showed? How If I can? I have another 9504 board unlocked, Can someone lead me to direct directions on how to go about installing it. My original had the 0225 board in it. Do I flash 9504 bin to the replacement or do I flash 0225 bin to it. I know I have to put my key in whichever. Please reply soon.
If you didn't get the full dummy.bin then its beyond me sorry, better to ask someone like oggie or joe singer
You will have to wait until the lord of hacks is released or you can RGH now if on dash 14719 or below and use a phat dvd drive.

You stated you don't have a dump of your drive only the key and I answered that above with that in mind.
Great news!!! Got my usb to sata cable today and hooked it up to my original PCB that I thought I screwd up and done a method I found on youtube with a VT6421 card and it perfectly dumped the firmware like a charm and created the 3 or 4 files and the very important dummy.bin, woohoo to me. Now I guess it is Kamikaze time.
Well I thought I was getting somewhere. I can not get the drive into Vendor mode. I do not have a xbox360 pro thing and cant get one anytime soon. I was getting it into vendor mode with no problem by probing mpx01 but now it is like nothing at all. Like I am not even probing mpx01.. But I do have the dummy.bin now so I am good to go when I get a unlocked board. Is there any tricks at all to get into vendor mode without having the xbox360usb pro?
Yeah but it states in JF that you can force vendor mode for bad flash on the Slim Liteons. Like I said it was doing it fine with the probe and then it decided it did not want to anymore. Cant figure it out. I will pm you.

Buy a USB pro and a CK3 or USBpro2.
Take the time and effort to read the guides on installing an Pro PCB 1.1 kit then ask questions if your still stuck.
