Need Help Please PLease helllppp

ok here is my story , my harddrive has been making a clicking noise for a few weeks .so i went and bought a mod chip so i could replace the drive. well i got the mod chip a few days ago . it's the solderless type Xecuter 2.3B Lite+ . i installed it the way the the tutorial says to followed all the steps. i get all the lights 2 blue one green.

the mod seems to be installed right. but i do get the frag with the error code 07 . i even get this with the harddrive taken out. i have not gotten to the green and orange light. if i install the harddrive all it does now is click so the drive is shot.
is there a way to clear this code. maybe thats what is holding the mod install back?

could anyone tell me how i can get this mod chip to work so i can try to get a new harddrive in here. i really need help and advice .

Hey mkchampion , i have a harddrive here that i can use . how do i prepare it? on a xbox or on a computer? all i need is some kind of instructions and i know i could get this going again one of you have had to have done this before.

yeah i probably did waste my money, but if i can get my harddrive replaced and play games once again . it really aint much of a waste to me.

come on guy's on know you guy's could help me pull this off..

I was asking because I would like to get a few 2.3b chips. Incase you people haven't noticed there were no problems with the switches in that series. And I hate to tell you but they really aren't much different than the 2.6. Ignore those people saying you wasted your money; they obviously have no clue what they are talking about. If you browse this forum you will see neither of them can get their 2.6 working... Really bodes well for their opinion.

Anyway, as MK said, get a copy of slayers auto installer. After downloading the image, you burn it to a CD/DVD and then fire up your Xbox with that in the DVD drive and your new hard drive in. It will bring up a menu that will allow you to do exactly what you are looking to do.

Thank you fantmx , thats really all i wanted to know. only trouble i am having right now is where to find slayers auto installer. i found the install instructions so far but thats it. would you happen to know off hand where i can dl this from?

I purchased a 2.6 ce and installed the way the manuel said all lights pop up except for the lan light and when i turn it on nothing happens it turns on like regular. do i have to flash the bios or is it becase its not solder right.

Ah, you really need to post this in its own thread. Check the lan wire you soldered, make sure you didnt bridge the connections with solder splash or something.

Ok i found slayers auto installer , put it on cd, put in my new harddrive. and am now getting a new error.( error 16 ). my old drive is dead so there is no way of getting any info out of it. i read alot of post's for this error and it is a dash problem. anyone know what i need to do to get around this error?

What bois did you flash with? 5035 will be able to get around the error 16 (it is probably an invalid date and/or time).

I havent flashed to anything . im not sure how i would flash it either. i just installed the chip got all the lights to work. put in my new drive and thought that would be it. but i guess i have more work to do.

1.u wasted your money, u should of got a x2.6 or a x3
2.download a AID(Auto inatser deluxe)www.aid.xbox-hq.com
3.run it in a bit torrent program (may take a few hours so start it when u go to bed and set your pc so it doens's turn off or go to sleep.ext)
4. look for a .rar file that suits your needs
5.extract it to your dextop
6.burn the files to a dvd with the iso file(the last .rar file in the folder)
7.plug in a new HD(MD's have the most bang4thebuck and make sure its lockable if u plan to use xbl)
8.pop in the AID disk and it will come up with a pop up, go threw the steps
9. if it does not install a dashboard(probly wont)go into install dashboard and click on c:/drive
10. pick a dashboard and knock your selfout, cause u are done!!!
just pop out the disk and restart your xbox.

(i am asoming u already have a bios on your chip, if not just pm me or post saying u dont.)

alright ok i just read your most recant post

ok

in the AID it will have bios files in one of the last folders

pick one that best suites your needs(note if it has a 137 it supports a hd with more than 137 gigs)
burn it to a disk in nero burner and add a dummy file(you r useing a none bootable disk, and u dont want multisesion)
pop you disk in with your chip enabled and u uploadt it from the disk from the chip

Ignore the person above. They obviously can't read. Not to mention they seem to think the 2.6 is better than the 2.3b even though they are essentially the same thing.

Head on over to Xbins, and download X2 5035 from the Team Xecuter folder. Unpack it with WinRar. In there you will see two bin files. Use the right one for your version Xbox (vOld for anything other than a 1.6/1.6b). You can check your version using this (link) Then, read this (link). If you can, flash using the HTTP method. After that completes, boot with your Slayers disc and you should be all set.
