Need Help, Please! Sata card 6421 drivers not recognized.

I am beginning to get frustrated. First time modding so forgive me if I am not completely accurate with my terminology.

Ok attempting to flash my phat lite-on drive with my laptop (don't have pc). Running Windows 7.

Here is my harware setup:

1. Sata 6421 Card connected from laptop's esata port
2. Then From Sata Card to Lite-On Drive
3. DVD powered by ck mini with molex
4. CK3 Probe


First, my laptop not recognizing my sata card at all (so thats a problem) drivers came with a disk (esata port worthless it seems). Fiddled with compatibility modes to work with Windows 7, no go.


Experimented with Jungle Flasher to see if it would recognize drive, even with my pitiful setup and without VRAID Drivers installed , and no go of course. Said it was a Samsung and then a Hitachi, just weirdness. Working with this dang thing for 2 straight days. Gonna pull my hair out.

Should I just get a X360 USB PRO at this point? Would rather not have to spend the extra $60-$80, tight on funds.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would get the x360usb pro. via cards can be very picky, especially using a laptop. to save the headache the x360usb pro is the way to go.

Not sure how you would connect a pci card to a esata port ?
the only via card that would work with a laptop would be a pcmcia
then it would be useless for phat hitachi and a pita with slims and would require custom drivers not via
x360usbpro is the only really viable choice with a laptop setup.
