Johnny2Good - did you zero out block 51? Not sure what steps are carried out when a block is marked as bad.

If it's the remapping which is the cause, it might be still trying to read data in that block. If you zero it out, it can't and has to go to the reserved area at the end of the NAND.

I'm not if he did, but I still freeze after freeboot install. I tried all different means of creating my freeboot. I think I might need to 0 them out, but I don't know. I tried unmapping, a then unmapping my freeboot like coolshrimp shows in his video, still freezing.
What do you think? Am I missing something here, LOL

martin c, or johnny2good, no luck, no matter how i write freeboot, if i unmap following coolshrimps video, and remap after, or create freeboot directly from the nand johnny2good did for me, it still freezes at the very same point. 360 flash dump shows the bad block, identical to the description i had before you remapped it for me. nand compare shows 0 non-matching blocks(figured as such) between the nand i sent, and the nand i recieved. i am confused with the hex editor as to what to do. if you want pics of anything, screens or nands or lonks to a nand please let me know. im at a loss as to what to do. should i start by beginning a new post, or is my original problem still the problem?

is this block, 0051 that needs to be all 0's? this is the orig.bin i got from Johnny2good in hex editor

Try flashing your original nand back and start from scratch, Follow this guide to the T, http://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54531, When you get to the part the says "HERE FOR FREEBOOT" then use Jtag Tool or just continue on with this guide, I had an error reading a block and I didn't remap and mine works just fine, My nand also showed 0 non matching blocks, Not sure if it's the same error your getting but give it a shot

Edit: Nvm I just looked at your picture on the first page and seen your error, Maybe it's the soldering, The first jtag I did I kept getting an e79 error till I realized that I left the jtag QSB switch off I slid it over and it booted

Ok - try this.

Download the attached RAR and extract it. You should have zeroblock.bin.

now type
Code:
nandpro usb: -w16 zeroblock.bin 51
This will totally zero out that remapped block. If this doesn't work, then there's something else afoot and you can eliminate it being a remapping issue.

I dumped the nand 4 times, 0 non-macthing blocks, all show bad block at 0051 @0x3ff in 360 Flash Dump v.95

He said block 0051 @0x3FF needs to be remapped to 3FE

Have you tried writing just xellous? then create your FB image place on thumb drive and update through xellous?

Xell is only 50 blocks so that should write fine. If xell will not write then something else is wrong.

Flash Xell, update to Xellous let Xellous remap blocks when you update through Xellous through USB.

I have written xell. I got my CPU key, my problems start when I write my freeboot. If Martin's plan doesn't work, I will try that

The reason you see bad block @ 3FF is because this is where 051 was remapped to  it was remapped and marked as bad so why does he need to remap it again.
What he needs to do is what Martin said zero it where it is @ location 3FF the remapping i did not zero it i just remapped it and marked it as bad i just checked it in Hex Editor and its not zeroed so zero it with what Martin gave you as he said if it doesn't work its something else which i think it is..

You might want to use a clean remapped nand Martin cause god know what was done to the other with mapping and unmapping the link is still on my earlier post..;)
Already 2 steps ahead :)

I checked his orig.bin with 360 Flash Dump Tool and the one bad block is remapped to 3FF as expected. No other errors detected.

I created a new Freeboot image from his orig.bin and remapped from 51 to 3FF and zeroed out 51.

He's still getting a freeze on bootup so I've advised him to check over his soldering...
