I am needing help with trying to upgrade my 320GB internal hard drive to a 1TB. I have a WD 1TB 2.5 that I thought all I had to do was put it in the xbox and format it. Heres where the problem is. I have dual nand so when I place it in the retail dash (NXE I think it's called) it doesn't recognize it, and of course it won't boot in freestyle because the drive is empty. So can someone PLEASE explain to me what im doing wrong or steer me in the right direction? The 320GB I have in there now has all of my stuff (games, paths, programs etc.) on it, so is there a way to just copy it over to the 1TB? I have a transfer cable but like I said the xbox wont recognize it. I also tried to connect the 320GB to the PC with the transfer cable and the PC won't recognize it either. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks for your reply, but I used easeus partition master to do just that. It's formatted to FAT32 right now. Maybe I should use another program to do it. So do you have any other ideas? Im going to reformat it now with another program. Do I need to set any special partitions or anything? I thought if it was formatted to FAT32 it would be good to go.

The 1TB internal won't be seen by the retail NAND and you really should know why.

For use on your RGH NAND, you only need to format it in the dashboard. People telling you to format it as FAT32 to be used as an internal HDD are wrong.

Nothing stops you from putting FSD on a USB stick and booting that to get access to FTP services.

Ok thanks Martin C, Yes I do know why, and so I should load the fsd onto usb, and then format the 1TB that way, GOT YA, I will try when I get home tonight. And thanks again.
