I have a X-Box v1.6 an ordered a Modchip "X3". Now I have installed the Modchip exactly how it is shown here: http://www.teamxecuter.com/x3/tutorials/x3pin16.htm I have connected the LAD0 - LAD 3, too.
But now my Box is rebooting 3 times itself and flashing red/green (if I Boot with Modchip - Enabled in 256k Backup, too)
And if I Boot with the default X-Box-Bios, I can use the Box how every standard user ;) !

WHY ?

I have checked the solderings already! All OK !

The Flashing Red/Green is known as FRAG, It does mean that one of your solder points is not good. Did you do the rebuild correctly? post a pic of the install if possible.

You can also search for frag to get a lot of information as it is the most common problem

Hey I have the same problem.
-X3ce Rebuild
-1.6 Xbox
-Both 3.3v and 5v light up blue
-Box works fine when I hold down the power button (it boots to the default Xbox Menu)
-when I tap the power, the xbox tries to startup like 3 times then it powers up and FRAG's

I have checked all the solders and they look good... does anyone know which solder point I need to check?
Thanks in advance!

Recheck the rebuild points and your D0. Both of you.

I have the axact same probem but with a v.1.3

Looks like it works, but no video, unless I boot the normal MS bios. External switch works just fine (goes blue if I press on power, goes red when i press on power for 2 seconds and goes white with eject and power)

Same FRAG

I had a fragging problem. I got so mad (re-did the board 8 times) that I ordered a new MoBo with the LPC rebuilt from the same dealer I got my X3 from, and its STILL fragging on this brand-new, professionally done motherboard.

Could it be a bad X3? Or bad BIOS on it? If its the BIOS, is there any way I can reflash it without the xbox being able to boot?

If you got a bad flash, it will frag.
