need help to connect to my xbox to my computer threw flashfxp

ok now matter what i try to connect my xbox to my computer it will not connect i tried all differnt ip address i tried the ones on the tut , the one that my xbox ip , and i also tried the ip that my x3 chip displays at the bottom on the screen right under the cpu temp. I tried all different passwords like the one x3 for password and user name also i did the xbox password and user name. i even tired it with my xbox hard drive unlocked and locked. No matter what i do i cant connect i have flashed my mod to 3294.

so i need help all i want to do is be able to put a dash board and be able to play some roms some one help me plz

What exactly are you using to connect to your xbox,a crossover cable or are you connecting throug a router.And did you set the xbox ip address.Elaborate a little more.

ok i have a hub switch which i have used in the pass to connect my xbox to my computer to play xboxconnect before it's not a router it is just d-link eithernet switch
i just plug in the cable modem wires from my cablem modem to the switch then a wire from my switch to my computer and a nother wire from my xbox to the switch

with this switch you dont have to programe like a rounter (you do nt need to put in the ip adresses)

Well if you have the the black link cable for the xbox i suggest you connect the xbox with that to the switch.And set the xbox to be assigned an ip by the switch throug DCHP.If that does not work then go ahead and connect the xbox straight to the pc without the switch.

ok still no connecting to my xbox threw my comptuer i am going to state everything

Xbox v1.0
x3 ce chip
x3 Flahsed with 3294 on bank 1
x3 bios 3.0.3 on bank 2


For my xbox live connection everything is set to auto set to go onto xbox live.

When i tried to connect i used different ip's
i tried the 1's on all the tuts i read
the 1 my x3ce chip displayed
the ip my xbox is set at when i switched my networksetting on my xbox from auto to manual setting

I tried all thoes setting on both banks

I tried it with the xbox hard drive lock and unlocked
i turned off the flash protection and i turned it on, on the chip

i tried to connect from my computer threw my d-link switch
also i tried to connect from my ethernet port on my computer straight to my xbox but nothing worked

so i have no clue what to do and i hope that some one can help me out

I assume your switcher is capable of assigning IP addresses. If so, switch everything to DHCP (your PC, your switch, and your X3CL network settings). Power cycle everything. Now connect to your X-Box using the IP given in X3CL. User name/Password should be X3.

Hi all, I have the same problem xbox 1.2 x3c latest bios. network dhcp ethernet, switch
I know it is all set up right, becuase I flashed the bios through http. I just get a no response from server via ftp i use smart ftp

switches don't use DHCP.

DHCP is Dynamic Host Configuration Protocal

All it does is asks a DHCP server (usually at your ISP) for an IP address.

You set your end devices for DHCP... like your PC and XBox.

Also, I doubt power cycling everything (turning your crap off and then on ) will help.

Tell me your exact physical set up... what is connected to what and with what cables... and we'll go from there.

ok sorry about the long wait for the response. i had to go out and get fitted for a suit for my brothers wedding and then he took use out for dinner. But any way before i left for that rookio told me to do this


disbale DHCP on your PC and set a static ip address of 192.168.0.5

Also change your xbox's IP to 192.168.0.10

This will probably interrupt your internet settings so, best to try enabling dhcp on the xbox first.

You should be in the X3 Config Live screen on your Xbox to FTP. can be done from other places but you can learn more after you got this one working.



and it worked i had just finshed backing up my xbox hard drive so i just want to say thanks to every person that halped me out ( and really big THANKS to rookio who prity much walked me threw almost every question i have hadabout modding and getting this figured out
