Got my NAND to read.
Made 10 or so copies.
I compared them, no problems.

BUT - degrader doesn't want to check the CB version. I looked it up, and someone told me to hex edit 2007 to 2005 in one of the dumps and try it. Degrader then reads it but comes up blank. I have no clue what's going on.

When writing Xell - I get the TOP LEFT and BOTTOM RIGHT red lights. Is this E79? I get nothing on screen.

If I rewrite the backup NANDs, they all boot to the Xbox dashboard but I still can't get Xell to work.
EDIT: I'm fairly certain the soldering is fine. If you must have pics I shall provide.

I used 360 Flasher Tool and it tells me my CB version is 4580. I heard about this revision somewhere before - and I need to use Falcon Xell or something?

EDIT
OK!!!
Now, using Xell and editing it's SMC and making it completely Falcon I FINALLY got somewhere.
Now I am getting the E79 error. I see the screen. This is a massive progression compared to what I've been doing the past 3 hours! lol

EDIT2:
I FEEL SO STUPID!!!
the answer was right infront of me! I soldering the red wire in the wrong place!!!!!!!!!!!
I was testing for continuity and I noticed that the red and yellow wire, due to the diodes, do not work in continuity. So I knew I had to test the wires BEFORE the diodes. Well, I accidentally hit the yellow wire while testing the red wire and the stupid multimeter went off. I was like.... wait..... NO!!!!! It was a lightbulb.
I got Xell to work. I feel so happy and relieved, but at the same time EXTRAORDINARILY pissed I burned 6 hours working on this because of two things:
-Zephyr revision takes Falcon data
-and my own stupidity
Ontop of the 3 weeks I've been trying to JTAG an Xbox.

the e79 is all jtag related if the console boots with the stock nand

pics would help 100% to eliminate the install

and what hardware are you using nand-x wire with diodes?

what motherboard?

jorgesalas831 we do not need error codes it's jtag related please stop posting bad advice or useless information

error code means nothing when you see that one line no matter what the error code is it's jtag related not into arguing don't work with me

J2D2 qsb looks a little rough their 3 points look like they might be bad

  • If you get, cannot read file , you must edit the orig.bin file. Make a copy of it, origcopy.bin and open it up in your hex editor. At offset 0×0012 , you will see 2004 – 2007 Microsoft Corporation…
  • Change it to : 2004 – 2005 Microsoft Corporation and it will open with Degraded

as I said before - I did that. Degraded opens it but it is BLANK.

And to the question about the switch - I've tried all 3 :(

And the 2 points on the far right that lead to the red and black wires are pretty rough. I'm not sure how I should fix them :(

I have a question.
For the red wire, can I solder just the red wire to the alternative point which would be on the DVD drive like this? Or do I need to also change the yellow wire if I do that as well?

You can solder the red wire to the dvd point without soldering the yellow wire to aud-clamp. Just make sure to edit the smc if you do so.

Tsk
If only SMC didn't error out on me EVERY time I try and use it. Missing DLLs even though they're right there.
