Hey guys,
I've been studying all flashing Tuts on the Internet I could find, but I have still some questions for you guys.
I'm using Windows Vist 64 Bit and I have the feeling that iPrep is not working the way it should on this OS. I'll just give you a list what I've done up to know and it would be very kind of you to tell me, if I have done anything wrong.
-Since iPrep wasn't able to make my USB Stick bootable I just used Windows to format a Floppy Disk and let Windows make it Bootable
-Then I used iPrep to creat all needed Files. I'm using the iXtreme V1.2 revC Firmware and a VIA VT6421 RAID Controller. I selected my Hard Drive so all files were copied to my Hard Drive.
-Then I copied all the files iPrep created onto my Floppy Disk (Windows asked my if I want to overwrite Autoexec.bat so pressed the Yes button)
-The Floppy Disk boots perfectly so I guess I didn't do anything wrong with the Floppy disk.
-I use a Xeno Connectivity Kit to supply the Power to my drive (do I have to fear the Floating Point Ground with that Kit?)I still don't know which SATA Port I Have to use (I don't know what the externel and internel Port is).
That's were I am right know.
Did I do anything wrong up to know???
