So i have the 250gb xbox slim foor about 3 years now, i am a total noob to the system but i am not to afraid the to fix things myself if i am able to do it myself. i am not looking to go all out and do something to alter the xbox i like mine just the way it is now but i am finding that i am starting to have some issues with it. Out of the 3 years i have had the only things i have gotten for it besides games, is the nyko intercooler fan which has long burnt out about 6 months ago, a 8gb usd flashdrive and the microsoft special edition controller that didn't turn out to be so special and now has the evil pad face plate on it cause the dpad broke..........
But getting the reasons for me join the site i am having some issues most recently the past couple days my xbox has been freezing up about 2 hrs of playing it. its not making any strange noise what so ever and i can still hear the disc and the fan spinning inside. Notice controllers leds flash counter clockwise as if it trying to resink to the xbox and Its always seemed to produce alot of heat sense i 1st got it thats why i bought the external for it to help pull the hot out of the system. but when it freezes up to i have to shut the system off for an hour or so cause even after i reset it freezes again with in 5 minute of game play. I doubt its a disc related issue cause it does with all my games new and used. so thinking it is something heat related. My other issue is my power adapter has been making this annoying noise but its not a voltage humming noise its more of a noise that sounds like a vibrating fan thats overspinning.
So if anyone could help me out or point me in the right direction to fixing these that would be awesome.
