If all the resistors in the STBY_CLK are gone is there a way to fix it? I got a nice slim from a friend who failed miserably at a RGH. I'm average at soldering, Have done a few Xbox drives back in the day with success. If this mess can be cleaned up what would I need and how would I do it? Thanks in advance.

even a well seasoned person would find this job tedious. you need to source the values and the resistors, replace them all. and repair any trace and pad damage.

a nice little hot air station some solder paste and skill can get it done. but its not a average joes job.

My friend has a temper, I guess he melted 2 resistors and raged and melted them all off...I want to at least try to fix it, I really want to learn, it was a free console so a few bucks won't be an issue as far as DIY I have have all the proper tools, Multi temp soldering gun .08mm tips, flux, all sorts of wire and sizes, assortment of resistors fiberglass pens, exacto knife, ect ect....the way I see it is I can't make it worse :p

Practice soldering on a few other things before you attempt to repair this.

Blotched RGH repairs are tedious, and require a lot of time!

And then it doesn't always work properly.

But i've seen one like this were the guy tried to solder with a heat gun!

with all the info on soldering out there, how are people still messing these thing up.these repairs aint for you.to save them just send to a pro.

on the slim you be wanting to use 34ohms 0603 resistors plus trace repairs.

on the jasper you need a 10k 0603 resistor.

Jasper looks/sounds easier to repair, any chance of a little direction on the Jasper? Please.

i dont know how people can remove that many resistors unwanted. I can tell you right now with my eye that looks like some one took a hot air station or a heat gun to them with little skill and a lot of air. If you own a hot air station the goal is not to blow away what you are trying to remove guys lol
