Need help with trying to flash my xbox

i just installed the x2.6 and the screen for flashing shows up but i cant move the joystick to where it says flash bios by cd also when i try to turn flash protection on it still says bios xecuter 2 also i installed it on an xbox v1.6

Are you using original xbox controllers? Most third party controllers do not work with FlashBios

yea i am using an original and now when i shut off the mod chip i get the xbox service screen can anyone tell me whats wrong
