Hi all,
I have always used the Xecuter X3 mod chips on my XBOXes, but a friend wanted to install a Duo2 on a version 1.0 XBOX.
The hardware installation went fine and when the XBOX powered up the screen came up with the Cromwell BIOS (Bank 1).
I then opened the Cromwell BIOS webpage and went ahead and flashed Bank 1 with the X2 version 5035 (Old) BIOS not realizing that the X2 BIOS does not have an OS like X3 and must have the X2 config.ini file on the e: drive.
My question is, can I FTP to the X2 BIOS once the box has powered up and install the X2 config.ini file and an evox dashboard on the HD? I know that the X2 BIOS is working as it is requesting an IP from my router every time it boots up. I have tried several different user names and passwords, but nothing works.
I have half a mind to tell my friend that we ought to install an X3 chip mod and be done with it.
Suggestions?
Regards,
TCIII
