need help xbox stupid

i had my son's xbox softmodded about 2 years ago and a 160g hard drive put in here's where the problem is.The other day he turned it on and it only goes to the screen with theses options,but it plays a game from the disc.

xbox live ,new account , account recouvery
settings

i no before when i unhooked it and took it to the lake then when i hooked it up againg i had to go into account recouvery and then it would boot to the dash bord with all the options on there and his games on the hard drive, but now when i do that the screen goes black and a green pie chart appers at the bottom that's it .I hope there is a easy solution to this because i know nothing about this.please i need some help any ideas thanks.

1) Is it booting to the standard Xbox dashboard that unmodded xboxes boot to?

2) Do you know what softmod package was used to mod it?

3) Can you take a picture of the screen that you're talking about with the pie chart?

My only guess is that old clock bug.... but I don't know much about that. I'm thinking your best bet is to just re-soft mod it with a newer softmod package. But try and answer the above questions so we can help you more.

yes that is correct textbook.I have a disc that he gave me when i got the xbox done.it has a C , E , F,EEPROM,ISOLINUX ,XBOX folders,in the
C folder :bios,media,rescuedash,xodash,folders
E folder :backup,cache,tdata,udata, folders EVOXDASH.XBE file
and the list goes on and on as far as the soft modd package don't know
