I recently installed the solderless x2.6 ce chip, flashed successfully but did not change it to bank 2 and instead flashed bank 1, now the xbox restarts 2 or 3 times then it frags. do I need the programmer to fix this? it boots fine to MS dash with the chip off..what do I need to do? thanx for the input.

you haven't given us enough info to help you at all. First what xbox version you got. What bios version you used. Did you make a 512k bios or just used the 256k bios. Do you still have flashbios in bank 2? etc.

the 3029 bios is for the X3 and the X3 only...an X3 bios will not work on an X2 chip (which is what you have)...you should have flashed a X2 4983 512k bios, unfortunately now that you've messed with both banks you will need a programmer or to do a hotswap

like MKChampion said. X3 bios is for X3 chips only. You should have used X2 4983 bios instead for your v1.1. Your best bet now is to use a programmer or if you have another modded xbox try hotswap the chips and install correct bios onto the chip.

edit: it would not matter if you have a programmer but if you don't and plan to reflash, I suggest to place flashbios in banks 1+2 and then X2 4983 in banks 3+4. This way, you will be able to reflash in the future if you need to. But like I said, if you have a programmer, it does not matter since you can always reprogram the chip with new bios or what not.

Hi,

I'm a little new, but can you explain a little more detials on Hot Swap? Does it require BOTH Xbox's to be the same version?

Thank You:)
