:( Hey guys I received a jasper (june 09) from a friend .Blinking /bricked 8series drive....It has nxe 7371 dash 256 mem.I installed jtag using double sided Ethernet cable/Ltp port:eek: My question is, its reading the nand (YAY) first jtag, but I read it takes years to read..LOL .Can i stop it to try the 2mb read( XELLOUS) tutorial .BTW I used the ROL and the AUD_clamp. I know i'm all over the place just trying to learn this technique....

Well....You could try to only read the first 66MB of the NAND as it the area where the all the necessary system files are present.

16 hours of reading? Something isn't right at all.

Personally, I would stop the read and try the 66mb read.

LPT could take this long. Personally you would be better to get a USB device instead.

How much of the NAND has been read? If its near completion, then you should leave it so that it can complete. Otherwise, just stop the process and read out only the first 66MB of the NAND. And No, stopping the reading process won't corrupt the NAND.

He'll still want to dump the 1st 66mb again for comparison.

Guys i think i botched something:mad: I was reading the XELLOUS tut ...it said I could read the first 2 mb three times to see if the matched, but after the 07F read I got 3rrod with the green light in the middle:( .I turned it off then back on to a flashing light .....I really just wanted the key ....the rest would be xtra learning experience // Extra// Idid the 2nd 2mb nandpro...no 3rrod....am i dead? Should i try to compare the two:eek:

So, you read the first 2MB of the NAND and then wrote XeLLous there ?

Guys I made some errors on my Jtag Jasper cb (6712). First after getting to clean nand reads I went to the flash tool to install xell aud_clamp only, 30secs later no power:(. So i sat thinking what I did wrong...I had the aud_clamp on Q2n1 and the other on the rol panel. removed rol I did the open tray splice resistor(both facing mb), erased the xell, inject orin.bin nand....still no power.Checked soldering..look ok,no contact. I dumped rawk1 1,conf1.bin 3de 2 injected XBR, 8955_3(is this Right?)Injected rawkv 1 1 to xbr, then xbr into nand.Boot up I get power but also e79 1033 error.Should i remove ltp/aud,open tray? :( Thanks for reading
